The Super High Roller Bowl Australia has come to an end, with Timothy Adams earning the first-place finish. Adams is a regular at the felt for the largest tournaments in the industry, but this was the first time that he would cash out during a Super High Roller Series. For the win, Adams earned a $1.44 million payday.
Details of the Event:
When it came to the final table, Kahle Burns and Elio Fox were the top chip holders with basically the same amount in their stack. Burns had won the AU$100K Challenge and was on a roll, looking to be the winner of this event as well. While Burns was doing well, Adams was not far behind, sitting third in chips during the final table.
According to the source…
Burns would gain a healthy chip stack and this would help him to hold the chip lead going into heads-up play with Adams. It would take some time, but eventually, Adams would begin to make a comeback. Before an hour of poker play had occurred, Adams held A-2 of hearts and flopped a pair from the button. Burns would bet with K-10 of clubs. The board gave Adams the hand and it would only continue from there.
Adams would hit a flush with A-10 of diamonds and go all-in with Burns calling for the majority of his chips. He would be left with just under 10 big blinds and work his way back somewhat only to lose to Adams in the end. Adams earned a pair of aces to seal the deal and the rest is Super High Roller history.
